The Andrew Carnegie Foundation in New York seeks a Managing Director – Private Equity to lead private markets strategy, sourcing, underwriting, and partnerships, with a long-term, mission-driven mindset. Reporting to the CIO, the MD will own a meaningful share of the portfolio and work with the investment team to drive disciplined, high-conviction investments.

Qualificações

• 15–20 years in investments with 10–15 years in private markets and decision ownership.
• Meaningful private markets experience across buyout, growth, venture, and related strategies.
• Ability to build conviction with diverse managers and peer allocators.

Responsabilidades

• Source, underwrite, and build lasting manager partnerships.
• Lead underwriting and recommendations within assigned areas.
• Act as a capital allocator considering risk, returns, liquidity, and diversification.
• Present clear, well-reasoned recommendations to CIO and Investment Committee.
• Develop investment talent and mentor team members.
