Senior Private Equity and Investment Analyst

Overview
The Choctaw Nation seeks a seasoned Private Equity Investment Professional to lead and analyze high-stakes private equity investment opportunities. This role offers the opportunity to build a high-performing investment portfolio and develop strategic relationships with high-worth and prominent private equity networks to drive strategic growth for a leading tribal organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Analysis, Sourcing, and Execution: Evaluate multiple private equity proposals weekly, often exceeding $50m each, using advanced financial modeling (IRR, DCF, Sensitivity Analysis) and due diligence to guide executive level investment decisions. Deliver precise recommendations and pitch decks to executive leadership.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and expand connections with major private equity firms, and industry leaders in gaming, healthcare, retail, agriculture, and UAS to enhance deal flow pipelines and deal sourcing.
- M&A Management: Oversee buy and sell-side M&A processes, including financial modeling, risk assessment, negotiations, and post-closure integration.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work with C-level executives to align investments with the Choctaw Nation’s long-term vision.
Success Metrics (First 6–12 Months)
- Analyze and recommend high-value private equity deals with no training needed on PE fundamentals.
- Maintain and develop trusted relationships with major private equity firms, family offices, and other strategic networks to enhance deal flow.
- Build a portfolio of high percentage IRR targets through rigorous analysis and deal structuring.

- Manage and source a growing pipeline of high-value investment opportunities.
- Establish a strong presence in private equity sectors, navigating complex networks.
- Deliver accurate, high-stakes recommendations under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Resources and Support
- Tools: Advanced financial modeling software, decision-support analytics, and an existing network of PE partners.
Performance Metrics (First 90 Days)
- Evaluate and recommend high-value private equity proposals with polished pitch decks and written analyses.
- Maintain existing relationships and establish new relationships to enhance deal flow.
- Identify potential recruits to help build and expand the existing department.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 7+ years in senior private equity, business development, or financial roles (e.g., Transaction Advisor, Controller, CFO, Senior Analyst) with full-cycle M&A experience. CPA or MBA in finance, accounting, or related field preferred (or 6 years of equivalent experience).
- Network: Deep connections with PE firms, and industry leaders, especially in gaming, healthcare, or retail.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling (Excel, IRR, DCF, Sensitivity Analysis) and decision-support tools, with experience managing $100M+ deals.
- Traits: Strategic thinking, impeccable integrity and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, high-reward environment.
- Extensive buy and sell-side M&A experience with complex deal structures.
- Established relationships with top PE firms.
- Strong finance background with the ability to dissect pitch decks and drive multi-million-dollar decisions.
