Job summary

Capital Southwest is seeking a Senior Associate (Private Credit) to join its Dallas, TX team in person. The role encompasses underwriting support, portfolio monitoring, and market research to drive disciplined credit investments.

The candidate will work closely with the deal team to develop valuation analyses, prepare committee materials, and contribute to the active investment pipeline, leveraging strong modeling and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Up to 3-4 years of experience in private credit, commercial lending, investment banking, or related roles.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, and valuation methodologies.
• Autonomy in a small, execution-focused team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude, initiative, motivation, attention to detail, teamwork, and professionalism.
• Be a team player and affable.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial modeling and investment committee materials.
• Prepare and present investment committee materials.
• Conduct industry research to support investment decisions.
• Monitor portfolio companies and track performance.
• Develop comparable company and transaction valuations.
• Assist with marketing material preparation and pipeline tracking.
• Support weekly investment team meetings.
