Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a Privacy Technologist to design, implement, and validate privacy-respecting systems across advertising and media teams. You will bridge privacy, engineering, product, AI, and identity to craft technical designs, controls, and test plans.

This is a hands-on role working closely with privacy counsel rather than a pure legal position. You will map data flows, review architectures, and translate legal requirements into concrete engineering criteria.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in privacy engineering or related technical roles.
• Ability to translate privacy requirements into technical controls.
• Experience with data flows, consent, minimization, and de-identification.
• Strong communication with engineers, lawyers and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical privacy reviews across product lifecycles.
• Map data flows across web, mobile, APIs, and cloud services.
• Translate requirements into implementable controls and guidance.
• Design controls for data minimization, retention, access and deletion.
• Test privacy controls and drive remediation.
• Evaluate advertising/identity tech and consent signals.
• Assess AI/ML systems and privacy-preserving techniques.
