As a Senior Privacy Analyst, you will play a key role in strengthening and advancing a global data privacy program within a dynamic technology environment. You will independently lead complex privacy assessments, advise business and product stakeholders, and help ensure that personal data is processed responsibly and in accordance with applicable regulations. Working across functions and regions, you will identify privacy risks, recommend practical solutions, and oversee remediation efforts through completion. You will also contribute to privacy-by-design initiatives, regulatory compliance, and the continuous improvement of internal processes and controls. This role is ideal for an experienced privacy professional who combines strong regulatory knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders at every level.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as a senior privacy subject matter expert and trusted advisor, providing practical, risk-based guidance and promoting consistent privacy practices across the organization.

  • Strengthen a privacy-conscious culture through stakeholder engagement, awareness initiatives, and accessible guidance.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to embed privacy by design, assess data protection risks, establish accountable remediation plans, and monitor actions through completion.

  • Conduct complex global assessments of personal data processing activities across products, services, and third-party subprocessors.

  • Prepare, maintain, and oversee privacy documentation, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs).

  • Address escalated privacy-related questions in customer and third-party due diligence questionnaires, coordinate subject matter input, and validate privacy-related representations.

  • Oversee the review and fulfillment of consumer and employee privacy rights requests, advise on complex cases, monitor regulatory deadlines, and elevate significant risks or exceptions.

  • Manage complex privacy inquiries from business, product, customer-facing, and internal stakeholders, ensuring consistent guidance and escalating significant legal or regulatory matters when appropriate.

  • Monitor global privacy laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and enforcement developments, translating relevant changes into practical recommendations for stakeholders.

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve scalable privacy processes, procedures, controls, and supporting documentation.

  • Act as the privacy subject matter expert for product audits and assessments, coordinating evidence, identifying risks, and driving corrective actions to completion.

  • Lead privacy event, incident, and breach investigations, coordinating relevant stakeholders, documenting findings, and tracking privacy-related remediation.

  • Lead or contribute to complex privacy projects and program initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.

  • Take on additional responsibilities and projects as business needs evolve.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data privacy, including independent ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Substantial knowledge of global privacy and data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.

  • Familiarity with relevant standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, SSAE 18, the NIST Privacy Framework, and Privacy by Design principles.

  • Proven ability to translate complex privacy requirements into clear, practical business guidance.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, consultation, negotiation, and influencing skills, with experience resolving issues and driving change across functions such as Operations, HR, IT, Security, Legal, and Product.

  • Experience applying privacy requirements in a global technology environment, preferably within software, SaaS, or cloud services.

  • Ability to review technical documentation, system architecture, and data flow diagrams to identify personal data processing activities, understand data flows, and assess privacy risks.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Privacy, Law, Information Governance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

  • At least one recognized privacy certification, such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT, or another relevant professional certification.

  • Ability to work independently in a distributed environment, exercise sound judgment with limited supervision, manage competing priorities, and identify when significant privacy risks require escalation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess unfamiliar issues quickly and provide timely, well-reasoned guidance in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy across complex assessments, regulatory obligations, records, and stakeholder communications.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about evolving privacy laws, regulatory expectations, technological developments, and industry practices.
