Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer to join the Software Department team in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on developing embedded software for Electronic Warfare programs within a collaborative, agile environment.

Ideal candidates will have a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, with the ability to work with systems, firmware, and electrical engineers. Travel may be required as part of program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-disciplined integrated product teams, often employing agile system and software development operations to plan, specify, design, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
• Innovate creative implementations of new products and technologies, from architecture and design, through integration, lab test and field test.
• Collaborate effectively with other disciplines and senior technical staff, in addition to producing planning and technical work products for internal customers to form original solutions to complex problems.
• Develop software requirements derived from system level requirements, developing associated architectures, performing simulations and analysis and testing of the software in a laboratory setting.
• Work in an advanced product development team environment with systems, firmware, electrical and software engineers.
• Handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment including engagement with Systems and Electrical Engineers
• This position may require occasional business-related travel.
