Job summary

Electra is seeking a Senior/Principal Multidisciplinary Test & Simulation Engineer to design, build, and maintain SIL/HIL labs validating the EL9 systems. You will develop real-time simulation models and interfaces, enabling end-to-end tests for flight controls, avionics, and propulsion.

You will collaborate with internal teams, ensure proper lab configuration, and support FAA Part 23 certification efforts, with total compensation including bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or software preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in simulation development, systems integration, or related engineering roles.
• Experience with hardware integration testing in SIL/HIL lab environments.
• Hands-on experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent a plus.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and hardware interface development a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain SIL/HIL labs to replicate end-to-end aircraft operation simulations.
• Build and integrate real-time simulation models using RTOS platforms and model-based tools (e.g., Simulink, MATLAB).
• Develop interfaces between simulation models and hardware components.
• Maintain configuration control and documentation for simulation environments for FAA Part 23 certification.
• Collaborate with IPTs to define test requirements and resolve integration issues.
