Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Sr Principal Systems Engineer (T4) to join our team across Rancho Bernardo, El Segundo, and Palmdale, CA. Lead the full systems engineering lifecycle on advanced aerospace programs and collaborate with IPTs to ensure performance and reliability.

The role requires strong requirements management, system architecture development, and the ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret SCI clearance with SAP access.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of related engineering experience; OR Master’s with 6+ years; OR PhD with 4+ years.
• Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, decomposition, management and traceability.
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, DOORS Next, or similar).
• Experience with ICD development and interface definition.
• Experience delivering technical presentations to customers or leadership.
• Active USG Top Secret SCI clearance (with background investigation within past 5 years or Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain initial SAP/PAR before commencement of employment.

Mansioni

• Apply the full systems engineering lifecycle, including concept development, definition, requirements development and allocation, interface management, integration, verification and validation planning and execution.
• Develop Verification & Validation strategies and plans, including verification plans and system test plans.
• Collaborate with test and specialty engineering teams to ensure test procedures correctly verify requirements.
• Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for internal and external interfaces with IPTs, suppliers, and customers.
• Support development of system architectures and CONOPS with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, reliability, safety, and maintainability.
• Provide systems engineering input to design reviews and readiness reviews.
• Prepare and deliver technical briefings to internal leadership and external customers.
