Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Beavercreek, OH is seeking a senior engineer to drive technology, design, develop, and test airborne systems. You will mentor other engineers, review customer specs, and contribute to cost-aware design and manufacturing processes, interfacing with program management and suppliers. A strong multi-disciplinary engineering background and leadership experience are essential.

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum 8 years of engineering experience.
Mastery of technologies across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

Drive technology and ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
Design, develop, analyze, document and test products and subsystems.
Mentor engineers and review customer specifications, balancing cost as a design variable.
Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments.
Interface with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and customers.
Contribute to proposals and technical reviews.
Support design-to-cost and design-for-manufacture initiatives.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to evolve systems.
