You will lead cert efforts, drive high-quality solutions, and coach engineers within a collaborative team. Relocation assistance may be available.

The role emphasizes DO-178 certification, architecture leadership, and adherence to Collins processes, delivering safe, reliable avionics displays for demanding applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and 10+ years experience, or an advanced degree.
• Embedded C++, bare-metal app development, BSP or platform-level software.
• RTOS such as LynxOS, VxWorks or Green Hills.
• Experience certifying software to DO-178 B/C Levels A or B and DO-330.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership and risk-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define development plans and ensure DO-178 and other cert requirements.
• Provide technical leadership to software teams and architecture input.
• Coach engineers to grow software skills and ensure process adherence.
• Drive best practices and maintain consistency with Collins engineering processes.
• Communicate progress, risks, and opportunities clearly.
