Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a senior software engineering leader based in NA offices to set the vision for engineering excellence and drive transformative AI-enabled software at scale. You will collaborate with C-level executives, partner across QuantumBlack and AI by McKinsey, and guide large, complex programs with multiple engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field; or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years delivering large-scale software solutions with mastery in frontend/backend, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
• Ability to set technical vision and strategy for an enterprise organization.
• Experience leading autonomous agent-driven delivery including governance and guardrails.
• Experience architecting enterprise AI strategy and partnering with senior leaders.
• Trusted advisor to executives on technology, data strategy, cloud architecture, and transformation roadmaps.
• Security-first mindset with secure development practices.
• Proven ability to hire, mentor, and retain top engineering talent.
• Exceptional time management in a complex, autonomous environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication across engineers to C-level.
