Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure seeks a Sr. Principal Member of Technical Staff to collaborate with senior engineers and product management to shape requirements for storage infrastructure services. You will help define design and architecture, implement proofs of concepts, and contribute to engineering excellence.

You will write code, review peers’ work, and author test automations while mentoring juniors. Strong communication and a passion for scalable systems are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ year’s experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency with C and C++. Python and/or Java is a plus.
• Background in RMDA and high-performance networking (SmartNICs, NVMe/TCP, RoCEv2) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for OCI’s storage infrastructure services with senior engineers and product management.
• Contribute to design and architecture and implement proofs of concepts.
• Write code, review code, and write test automations.
• Mentor and demonstrate core values for junior engineers.
• Explain complex technical concepts with excellent communication.
