BAE Systems is currently seeking creative, innovative problem solvers who are able to analyze, assess, anticipate, defend, and react to current and future attacks. Candidates should be capable of working in a team environment designing and implementing innovative protection schemes with rapidly evolving technologies used in various applications throughout the company.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design security architectures based on requirements from your analysis of adversary threats and proposed countermeasures.
  2. Implement and test security countermeasures according to the guidance provided by the U.S. Government.
  3. Work with Security State of the Art (S-SOTA) technologies.
  4. Provide our customers with sophisticated, defense-in-depth security solutions.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

This role involves understanding systems engineering techniques and processes and requires a Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 or more years of work experience.

Additional critical skills include:

  1. Writing System Requirements
  2. Integrating Hardware and Software
  3. Validating and Verifying the delivered solution

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Our team analyzes adversary attacks and proposes hardware, software, and systems engineering countermeasures capable of providing defense-in-depth. We are very interested in candidates with any of the following experience:

  1. Cryptographic algorithm implementation
  2. Configuring security features of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) S-SOTA components
  3. Firmware development for COTS S-SOTA components such as Xilinx or Microsemi FPGAs
  4. Applying secure coding practices, securing operating systems, and virtualization
  5. Implementing and configuring security protocols
  6. Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo or MagicDraw

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
