Job summary

Raytheon’s Airborne Sensor RF Design Department in McKinney, TX is seeking a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead RF system design, test, integration and documentation on complex assemblies. On-site role with DoD security clearance requirements and extensive interaction with suppliers, factories, and program leadership.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience.
• Experience with mechanical design and integration of RF systems or subsystems.
• Experience with bid solicitation and contract negotiations
• Experience leading or managing a team
• Experience managing Suppliers

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program and functional leadership to ensure that technical goals are met.
• Develop and implement technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
• Meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for work products.
• Experience working with and directing suppliers is required.
• Key expertise includes bid solicitation, contract negotiations, production support, and issue resolution.
• Experience supporting international suppliers is a plus, as a key aspect of this role requires leading an international supplier of a critical mechanical assembly.
• Experience coordinating internal and supplier production schedules to ensure timely material delivery to meet production.
