Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Quality Engineer (Level 4) to join our Space Sector in Devens, MA.

This 100% onsite role focuses on defining quality processes, auditing systems, and leading continuous-improvement initiatives across opto-electrical components and subsystems. You will develop quality plans, interpret drawings, and drive corrective actions while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure product conformance and readiness for certification.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience or Master's/PhD with 4–6 years of experience.
• Experience spanning ISO 9001 and AS9100 environments.
• Strong GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Lean and Six Sigma quality engineering methodologies experience.
• CMM programming capability is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement Program Quality Plans for opto-electrical components, sub-systems, and systems based on requirements.
• Develop and maintain standards for quality; collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to sustain process capability.
• Evaluate components and sub-systems; review testing methods; analyze data and propose design or process changes.
• Evaluate product readiness for release and compliance.
• Recommend SPC methods and improvements to enhance system/process capability.
• Create documentation to support customer and test/certification needs.
• Perform first article qualifications and Failure Investigations; drive resolution.
• Lead improvement projects to achieve Operational Excellence and support MRB and Mission Assurance needs.
