Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal / Sr Principal Project Manager for our Defense Systems team in Huntsville, AL. The role emphasizes leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication in a high-visibility program environment.

The candidate will coordinate across product development, manufacturing, test, and global supply chain, managing day-to-day interfaces with suppliers while driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; years of experience per degree (5 with Bachelors, 3 with Masters, 3 with PhD)
• Experience with large projects and DoD programs advised
• US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance (within last 6 years)
• Ability to obtain SAP approval and Special Access Program access
• Proficiency in Excel metrics and data analysis; IPT experience

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary manufacturing liaison to program management for manufacturing strategy
• Be the primary contact for product development, manufacturing, test, and supply chain for program activities
• Facilitate internal meetings to support design, production, and problem resolution
• Report Earned Value Management and act as CAM for manufacturing projects
• Develop monitoring mechanisms and drive action plans with stakeholders
• Support and generate proposal documentation for new work and material planning
• Present program visibility to all management levels, including executives
