Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Principal Project Manager Level 3 or Senior Principal Project Manager Level 4 to lead large-scale equipment installations on-site in Clearfield, Utah. You will oversee project coordination across engineering, maintenance, production and procurement to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with safety and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 8 years of PM or related engineering experience; or Bachelor’s with 5 years; or Masters with 3; or PhD with 1.
• 3 years of experience in PM methodologies and tools (Gantt charts, PM software, risk management).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance and Secret clearance within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans with timelines, resources, and budgets for large equipment installations.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, production, and procurement to align objectives and timelines.
• Identify milestones, critical paths, risks, and contingency plans.
• Facilitate regular meetings and communications to keep stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
• Review engineering and architectural drawings and provide input.
• Ensure seamless transitions between project engineering and new/existing structures.
• Oversee installation from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and timelines.
• Document all installation activities and provide as-built drawings and operating manuals.
• Manage budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
• Approve invoices and change orders.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and final inspections.
• Mitigate risks and implement corrective actions to keep project on track.
