Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Principal Project Manager/ Sr. Principal Project Manager – Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team in Promontory, UT.

The Principal Project Manager Level 3 or a Senior Principal Project Manager Level 4 will be responsible for cost and schedule across diverse projects within Tooling, Facilities and Maintenance Engineering. This role requires a strong background in project management, engineering, and construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, or Master’s with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• 3+ years of experience in project management methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts, for a portfolio of diverse projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, production, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of project objectives and timelines
• Identify project milestones, critical paths, and potential risks, and develop contingency plans to address them.
• Facilitate regular meetings and communications to keep all parties informed of project progress, changes and issues.
• Oversee the installation process from start to finish, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards and project timelines.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented throughout the project.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts and present them to senior management as needed.
