Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Product Owner to lead backlog strategy and requirements definition for our enterprise project controls ecosystem, including Primavera P6, Unifier, and Riskonnect.

This role partners with stakeholders to ensure high-value capabilities are defined, prioritized, and delivered across scheduling, cost, change, and risk management. The position is based in Roy, UT and requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and continuous

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in systems software analysis or product ownership.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Active DoD Secret clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain SAP.
• Experience defining product backlogs and user stories.
• Experience with Agile or iterative development.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the product backlog for the project controls application suite, ensuring work is prioritized based on business value, operational risk, technical dependencies, and compliance needs.
• Partner with product leadership to translate roadmap priorities into actionable epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Serve as a primary interface between business stakeholders, developers, analysts, and support teams for backlog refinement and delivery planning.
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize requirements from program leadership, project managers, schedulers, risk managers, and other stakeholders.
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint/release planning support, and prioritization discussions across multiple integrated application areas.
• Clarify requirements, resolve ambiguity, and make day-to-day priority decisions to support efficient execution by technical teams.
