Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Senior Principal Power Hardware Engineer in Sunnyvale to lead power hardware architecture and design for data center hardware. The role requires 12+ years of power design experience, a BSEE, and expertise in high-voltage systems, SPICE, and Cadence tools.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-platform initiatives, and guide projects from definition through release, with on-site work three+ days a week.

Qualifications

• This role will be on-site in Sunnyvale, 3+ days a week.
• 12+ years related Power Design Engineering experience, with BSEE minimum; MSEE preferred.
• Experience with liquid-cooled power systems and high-voltage architectures (±400 VDC/800 VDC input).
• Solid experience with schematic capture and simulation tools (including SPICE).
• Familiarity with multilayer PCB Layout tools and CAD tools such as Cadence Sigrity PowerDC is required.
• Working knowledge of interfaces like I2C/PMBus and firmware design is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Establishes and defines organization-wide architecture for power hardware design across platforms.
• Leads evaluation of new power technologies and external development partners alignment with roadmaps.
• Reviews designs for compliance with guidelines and standards.
• Drives platform architecture process and integration of innovations.
• Mentors less-experienced engineers and sets design excellence examples.
• Leads Board Mount and Front-End Power projects from definition to release.
• Drives technology development and standardization within the Power Systems group.
• Promotes continuous improvement and quality initiatives in projects.
