The Industry Relations team is trusted to fulfill leadership positions in global payments industry associations. In this role, you will help manage the strategy of Capital One's Global Payment Network industry participation, influencing standards and specifications related to payments, digital identity, and emerging technologies (such as agentic commerce) within a collaborative and consensus‑driven environment. The team leads industry engagement with EMVCo, FIDO, W3C and other associations for the Global Payment Network.
A successful candidate will possess a natural curiosity about payments technology, a balance of business and technical acumen, and the foresight to determine which industry developments will be most impactful to Capital One. Experience contributing to industry associations, working for a payment network, or working with e‑commerce and authentication technologies is highly valued.

McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Senior Principal Payment Industry Relations (GPN)
Riverwoods, IL: $161,500 - $184,300 for Senior Principal Payment Industry Relations (GPN)
This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
