Job summary

Nightwing Intelligence Solutions, LLC seeks a Senior Principal Software Developer (System Security) to advance OS-level security features across Windows, Linux, and VxWorks. You will design and implement detection and response mechanisms and work on cryptographic binding to trusted hardware.

Qualified candidates have 10+ years in systems programming, expert C/C++, and strong OS internals knowledge. A Secret clearance is required to support DoD mission systems and national security initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience in systems-level programming.
• Expert-level C/C++ skills with memory management and low-level programming concepts.
• Expert OS-level systems programming experience with OS internals knowledge.
• Debugging complex systems issues with tools like gdb, WinDbg, Visual Studio Debugger.
• Version control proficiency with Git in a team environment.
• Self-directed learning ability with a track record of independently mastering new technical domains.
• University Degree or equivalent experience; Advanced Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop OS-level security features deep within the operating system.
• Build detection and response mechanisms to counter advanced threats.
• Implement cryptographic binding of software to trusted hardware.
• Create system lockdown capabilities that minimize attack surface.
• Integrate with Hardware Root of Trust (HRoT) solutions.
• Protect against sophisticated attacks from well-funded adversaries.
• Support multi-OS platforms (Windows, Linux, and VxWorks).
