Job summary

Northrop Grumman is hiring a Sr. Principal Network Communications Administrator in Ellsworth, SD, to join the Ground Systems Team.

The role involves real-time support for network operations during flight missions and coordinating with engineers and field teams to ensure secure communications across Ground Systems. The ideal candidate has a STEM doctorate or equivalent experience and a DoD SECRET clearance, with hands-on work across LAN/WAN, TACLANES, and network security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience; OR Master’s degree and 6 years; OR Ph.D. and 4 years.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD SECRET clearance; TOP SECRET in future.
• Current CompTIA Security+ or higher certification.
• Experience designing and maintaining LAN, WAN, and Cloud based networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support for Ground Systems during flight operations and maintenance.
• Account for, control, and deploy equipment.
• Resolve connectivity issues between Ground Systems and external networks.
• Troubleshoot and repair communications systems in military flight operations environments.
• Provide 24/7 on-site network operations support.
• Lead local network management and provide updates and security patches.
