Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector in South Dakota seeks a Senior Principal Network Communications engineer to join our Ellsworth AFB team. You will support real-time ground systems, manage LAN/WAN networks, and ensure secure comms for flight operations.

The role requires a TS/Secret eligible clearance, STIG compliance, and extensive experience with network analysis tools, encryption devices, and on-site 24/7 support. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree or equivalent experience in a related field and 5–9 years in network communications/Administration.
• Experience with LAN/WAN design, STIGs, and encryption devices (TACLANES).
• Proficient with network analysis tools and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support for Ground Systems during flight operations and maintenance.
• Account for, control, and deploy equipment and resolve connectivity issues.
• Work with partners to move data between Ground Systems and external networks.
• Troubleshoot and repair comms and networks in flight operations environments.
• Maintain 24/7 on-site network operations support and engage with REs and MOBs.
