Consumers Energy is seeking a Senior Principal Network Engineer to design, implement, operate, and optimize enterprise networks across on-premises and cloud environments. The role requires leadership of large initiatives, mentoring of engineers, and strong automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, and PowerShell.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in BGP/OSPF/MPLS, cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP), and SD-WAN, with a track record of improving security, reliability, and performance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field and 10+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• 4+ years of cloud networking experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP and 4+ years with SD-WAN, network segmentation, and automation tools.
• Experience leading technical projects, mentoring engineers, and designing/maintaining large-scale enterprise networks (hybrid cloud).

• Design, implement, operate, and maintain enterprise networks across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Lead strategic network initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and implement network automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, or PowerShell.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation support and conduct root cause analysis to ensure reliability.
• Create and maintain network architectures, standards, and troubleshooting guidelines.
