Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead concept development, system solutions, and hardware integration for underwater and naval systems. The role requires strong teamwork and the ability to manage multiple projects on-site at the Annapolis, MD campus.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering and minimum 8 years in mechanical engineering; or MS with 6 years; 4 Years with PhD.
• Ability to work on-site at Annapolis, MD campus.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple projects.
• Proficiency in using common engineering design, production, analysis, and office tools.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools, bolted joint analysis, and structural hand calculations.
• Experience using 3D CAD software to create and review models.
• US citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI and pass a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into system solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Involve concept development, problem solving, technical planning, design development and hardware integration and testing.
• Collaborate on underwater or naval systems projects (torpedoes, UUVs, ROVs, sonar, etc.).
• Demonstrate teamwork, prioritization, and multitasking to achieve project goals, with strong verbal and written communication.
