Job summary

Transcarent is seeking a Sr. Principal ML Engineer to lead the Data and AI/ML platform initiatives, focusing on WayFinding and scalable AI solutions. The role blends hands-on engineering with architecture leadership to unblock key programs.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and cross-functional stakeholders, and drive production-grade ML systems in a fast-moving environment, emphasizing responsible AI and system-wide impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years in software/data engineering, senior IC or principal level.
• Expert data engineering fundamentals: Spark, ETL/ELT, data warehousing.
• Strong ML engineering proficiency including deployment and monitoring.
• Hands-on GenAI/LLM workflows, RAG, fine-tuning, responsible AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional ML/platform initiative from ambiguity to production.
• Define technical direction with autonomy; architect scalable systems.
• Mentor and influence engineers and stakeholders; ensure design reviews and code quality.
• Partner with product, data, clinical, and business teams to deliver AI/ML solutions.
• Operate in a fast-moving environment while upholding responsible AI practices.
