Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Senior Principal, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence to lead large cross-functional ML/AI initiatives with significant business impact. You will own an 18–24 month technical roadmap that balances breakthrough innovation with reliable value delivery across quoting, quality inspection, and manufacturing processes.

You will partner with engineering, product, operations, and leadership to drive initiatives, mentor teams, and stay ahead of industry advances in 2D/3D

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related field
• 12+ years of professional experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science roles — with several years in senior or principal capacity leading major programs
• Demonstrated experience architecting and delivering large scale ML/AI solutions - end-to-end from data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring & operations
• Deep expertise in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), data engineering, model infrastructure, MLOps, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience in 3D modeling / geometry / computer vision / generative models is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional ML/AI initiatives with significant business impact
• Define and drive an 18-24 month ML/AI technical roadmap balancing innovation with business value delivery
• Influence partner roadmaps across engineering, product, operations, and business teams
• Mentor ML engineers and data scientists and guide team practices
• Stay ahead of ML/AI industry developments and translate insights into internal tooling and best practices
