Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Senior Principal, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence to lead large, cross-functional ML initiatives with lasting business impact. You will own an 18–24 month technical roadmap, partner with engineering, product, design and manufacturing ops, and remove roadblocks for teams across the organization.

The role requires 12+ years in ML/AI/data science, strong expertise in TensorFlow/PyTorch, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, ML, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related field (PhD preferred for deep generative/3D modeling emphasis)
• 12+ years of professional experience in machine learning, AI, or data science roles with several years in senior or principal capacity
• Demonstrated experience architecting and delivering large-scale ML/AI solutions end-to-end
• Deep expertise in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), data engineering, model infrastructure, MLOps, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical leader of multiple large, cross-functional ML/AI solutions with lasting business impact
• Define and drive an 18-24 month ML/AI roadmap balancing innovation with business value
• Influence partner roadmaps across engineering, product, operations, and business teams
• Mentor individuals and technical teams; act as a trusted SME
• Identify opportunities to drive revenue growth, reduce costs, and improve efficiency using ML/AI
• Stay ahead of industry developments and translate insights into internal best practices
