Job summary

Redwood Materials in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Senior Technical Authority on extractive metallurgy. You will own the metallurgical design basis for recycling and refining flowsheets from feedstock to refined product, spanning mechanical separation, high‑temperature processing, hydrometallurgical refining, and electrochemical upgrading.

You will evaluate flowsheet options, drive pilot‑to‑commercial deployment, and set product quality specs while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in extractive metallurgy or related field.
• Ownership of flowsheet deployment from pilot to commercial scale.
• Hands-on plant experience in a metals processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own metallurgical design basis for recycling and refining flowsheets.
• Lead evaluation of competing flowsheet options with bench data.
• Define product quality specs and diagnose impurity deportment.
• Guide scale-up from bench to commercial operation and test campaigns.
• Collaborate with BD to define process pathways and markets.
