Job summary

EPM Scientific seeks an experienced physician to serve as the lead and sole Principal Investigator for its Springfield, Missouri research operation. This role offers high autonomy to lead trials and provide medical oversight across the portfolio.

You will lead early-phase industry-sponsored studies, ensure ICH-GCP compliance, oversee safety and informed consent, and mentor clinical research staff while collaborating with sponsors, IRBs, and monitors.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP and clinical research regulations.
• Experience leading clinical trials and teams.
• Interest in endocrinology, diabetes, obesity or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee early-phase industry-sponsored trials as the sole Principal Investigator.
• Ensure studies are conducted in accordance with ICH-GCP guidelines and protocol requirements.
• Oversee participant safety, informed consent, and study conduct.
• Collaborate with sponsors, IRBs, monitors, and auditors.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to clinical research staff.
• Support overall study quality, regulatory compliance, and data integrity.
