Job summary

Dell Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer, Hardware Engineer for the AI Platforms and Rack Scale Infrastructure team in Austin, Texas.

You will architect and develop next-generation AI server and rack-scale platforms, providing technical leadership across hardware development and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure solutions for AI workloads. Qualifications

• 12+ years of hardware engineering experience delivering complex server and platform solutions.
• Experience in hardware design and integration of server enclosures with mechanical and thermal considerations.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams through architecture, design, validation, and issue resolution.
• Strong knowledge of server architecture and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware design and system engineering for next-generation artificial intelligence server and rack-scale platforms.
• Drive root-cause analysis of hardware, firmware, and system-level integration challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with original design manufacturer and joint design manufacturer partners, as well as global engineering teams, to support platform development, validation, and manufacturing readiness.
• Communicate technical strategy, design tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to engineering teams, business partners, and leadership stakeholders.
