Job summary

Baylor University in Waco seeks a Principal Gifts professional to cultivate and steward high-capacity donors across Baylor Academic units, Bold Pursuits, and Athletics. You will lead major gift strategies, engage leadership and development teams, and travel to advance private support.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience; a Master's with 10+ years is preferred. Travel outside Texas and full-time commitment are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience are required.
• A master's degree with ten+ years of experience is preferred.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of one another.
• A valid US Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required.
• Must be able to travel outside of the state of Texas; based in Waco, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of principal gift donors and prospects.
• Lead fundraising efforts impacting Baylor capital, endowment and current use.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop strategic philanthropic agendas aligned with Baylor plans.
• Participate in prospect management and development programs to increase private gifts.
• Establish yearly measurable goals and related metrics for fundraising outcomes.
• Assist in programs to increase top-of-the-pyramid giving to Baylor; perform other duties as assigned.
