Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Senior Principal Front End Network Engineer – AI Infrastructure to lead reliability and scalability of high‑performance Ethernet front-end networks within our AI cloud platform. You’ll own architecture, drive fabric design (leaf-spine/Clos), and set standards across Arista EOS and Nokia platforms.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of network engineering in hyperscale data centers, cloud, or AI infrastructure.
• Expert-level ops and architecture with large-scale Ethernet fabrics (leaf-spine/Clos).
• Hands-on with Arista EOS/Etherlink and Nokia 7220 IXR, 7250 IXR, 7750 SR in production.
• Deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, ECMP, EVPN-VXLAN.
• Experience with long-haul circuits, DCI, and optical transport.
• Storage networking over Ethernet and shared storage connectivity.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives and influence strategy without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Owning the technical direction and operational strategy for front-end AI infrastructure networks.
• Designing, reviewing, and evolving large-scale Ethernet leaf-spine / Clos fabric architectures to support growth and workloads.
• Acting as the escalation point for the most complex front-end network incidents and guiding investigations.
• Driving cross-team initiatives to improve fabric reliability, performance, observability, and maturity.
• Defining standards for hardware configuration, routing, and automation across Arista EOS and Nokia platforms.
• Partnering with SRE, Compute, Storage, and Network Architecture teams to influence end-to-end design.
• Mentoring senior/principal engineers to raise operational rigor and technical excellence.
• Driving measurable improvements in uptime, latency, and capacity at scale.
