Job summary

Nscale, a GPU cloud engineered for AI, is seeking a Senior Principal Front End Network Engineer – AI Infrastructure in the United States. You will own the reliability, scalability, and evolution of high‑performance front‑end networks supporting AI workloads, with leadership across teams and platforms.

You will guide architecture and standards for leaf‑spine fabrics, DCI, and storage connectivity, while mentoring engineers and driving improvements in uptime and observability.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of network engineering in hyperscale data center, cloud, or AI infrastructure networking.
• Expert-level experience with large-scale Ethernet data center fabrics (leaf-spine/Clos).
• Hands-on experience with Nvidia Cumulus, Arista EOS/Etherlink, Nokia platforms at scale.
• Deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, ECMP, EVPN‑VXLAN.
• Experience with long‑haul circuits, DCI, and optical transport.
• Storage networking over Ethernet and shared storage connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and operational strategy for front-end AI infrastructure networks.
• Design and evolve large-scale Ethernet leaf-spine/Clos fabric architectures.
• Escalation point for complex frontend network incidents and investigations.
• Drive cross-team initiatives to improve fabric reliability and observability.
• Define standards for hardware configuration, routing, and firmware lifecycle across platforms.
• Partner with SRE, Compute, Storage, and Network Architecture teams for end-to-end design.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise operational rigor.
• Improve uptime, latency, capacity, and incident reduction.
