Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Engineer Supplier Quality (or Sr. Principal Engineer) to join the Mission Assurance team in a 100% remote role with travel across surrounding states.

The position requires strong supplier quality management, CQV, and process assessment capabilities to ensure contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. Located within 30 miles of Cleveland, OH with potential for frequent short-notice travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Quality experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of Quality experience, or PhD and 1 year of Quality experience.
• Experience Manufacturing/Engineering with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
• Experience interfacing with suppliers/customers to meet quality objectives (e.g., Source Inspection, FAI review, RCCA, Process witnessing, On-boarding, Audits, etc.)
• Experience utilizing basic inspection tools (e.g. Calipers, micrometers) and interpreting engineering requirements (e.g., reading blueprints, specifications, contractual flow downs, etc.)
• Proficient with MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Supplier Quality risk management.
• Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
• Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues.
