Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a senior engineering leader to define the multi-year technical strategy for AWS Billing architecture. You will partner with engineering leaders and scientists to build a more modular, real-time billing platform that scales with customer usage and pricing models.

You will drive cross-organizational decisions across AWS service teams, Finance, and Marketplace, mentor engineers, and shape how AI accelerates development and delivery of billing capabilities at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in a multi-tiered, service-oriented environment.
• Experience defining and driving multi-year technical strategy across multiple engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year technical strategy for billing architecture with cross-organization alignment.
• Drive architectural decisions across AWS service teams, Marketplace, Sales, and Finance toward real-time billing platform.
• Provide technical guidance on distributed systems, real-time processing, and enterprise architecture.
• Ensure architecture quality by decomposing problems into scalable solutions with performance focus.
• Mentor engineers and broaden the community on advanced distributed systems while aligning with business outcomes.
