Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking an Associate Principal Engineer to lead design and provide technical guidance across HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related mechanical systems. You will represent engineering in client and project-team meetings and mentor a small group of engineers.

This role requires a PE license, a Bachelor's in Engineering, 12+ years of experience with at least 5 years in people management, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• > Bachelor's degree in Engineering, PE preferred or required
• > 12+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years of people management
• > Expert knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related mechanical systems
• > Strong communication skills with staff, clients, and contractors
• > Ability to lead and develop an engineering team, and uphold standards across projects

Responsibilities

• Provide design and engineering guidance across departments and disciplines, upholding engineering standards
• Stay current on industry trends, codes, and best practices within the team
• Own conceptual design direction for projects and review complex layouts used for estimating
• Perform or review advanced calculations for heating/cooling loads and equipment sizing
• Conduct site inspections to verify construction against documents
• Represent engineering as SME in project team and client meetings
• Manage staff, training, coaching, and performance of engineers
