Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer, Manufacturing Science & Technology to lead external manufacturing projects and coordinate across R&D, quality, and commercial teams. This onsite role may be located in Fort Worth, TX, Houston, TX, or Irvine, CA, with up to 25% travel.

You will develop, implement, and evaluate production materials, equipment, and technologies while ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent reading, writing, understanding and communication in English.
• 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple technical projects and drive goals through innovation.
• Transfer manufacturing processes from R&D to manufacturing sites or between sites.
• Evaluate and manage capacity at external manufacturing partners.
• Develop and implement standard manufacturing procedures.
• Assess production processes to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Engage with R&D, commercial, and quality functions.
• Ensure compliance with GxP and maintain documentation.
