Alcon seeks a Sr. Principal Engineer, Manufacturing Science & Technology to lead external manufacturing projects at sites in Fort Worth, TX, Houston, TX, or Irvine, CA.

You will transfer processes from R&D to manufacturing, optimize capacity with partners, and drive improvements in cost and quality while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 7 years of relevant experience, 5 years of leadership, and up to 25% travel.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
• 7 Years of relevant experience
• 5 Years of demonstrated leadership experience
• Location: Onsite
• Travel Requirements: Up to 25% domestic and international
• Sponsorship Available: NO
• Mandarin preferred (not required)

Responsabilidades

• Oversee multiple technical projects with focus on external manufacturing partners
• Transfer manufacturing processes and technology from R&D to manufacturing sites or between sites
• Evaluate and manage manufacturing capacity at external partners
• Develop and implement standard manufacturing procedures
• Evaluate production processes to reduce costs and improve quality
• Conduct manufacturing R&D to address cost and quality issues
• Arrange equipment and tools to support production
• Select and communicate with vendors to meet specifications and delivery
• Manage product lifecycles to ensure supply continuity and identify alternate materials or suppliers
• Engage with R&D, commercial, and quality functions
• Make critical decisions affecting project outcomes with project management and technical expertise
• Stay current with advances and adopt agile problem solving
• Adhere to GxP regulations and maintain documentation and training
