Alcon is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer in Manufacturing Science & Technology to lead multiple technical projects with external manufacturing partners. The role focuses on developing materials, equipment, and technologies, conducting R&D, and evaluating capacity at sites in Fort Worth, TX, Houston, TX, or Irvine, CA.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 7 years of relevant experience, and 5 years of leadership. Onsite location with up to 25% travel.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee multiple technical projects, ensuring goals are met through specialized expertise and innovation.
• Transfer manufacturing processes and technology from R&D to a manufacturing site or between sites.
• Evaluate and manage manufacturing capacity at external partners.
• Develop and implement standard manufacturing procedures.
• Evaluate production processes to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Conduct manufacturing R&D to address cost and quality issues.
• Arrange equipment and tools to support production.
• Communicate with vendors to determine product specs and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage product lifecycles to ensure supply continuity and identify alternate materials.
