Job summary

Oracle Corporation is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to lead the design and implementation of comprehensive reliability validation for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's control plane. You will define strategies, collaborate with architects and database engineers, and drive scalable validation frameworks across multiple teams to ensure high availability and operational resilience.

Qualifications

10+ years of relevant engineering, architecture, or development/operational experience.
Define and drive the long-term validation strategy for distributed database infrastructure supporting OCI control plane services.
Design, develop, and automate large-scale validation frameworks for fault injection, high availability, disaster recovery, database upgrades, patching, migration, and operational resilience.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of reliability validation methodologies for OCI control plane services.
Identify reliability risks and influence product direction with architects and engineers.
Establish engineering best practices, validation standards, and automation strategies across teams.
Mentor senior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and ownership.
Drive cross-organizational initiatives to improve service availability and reduce operational risk.
