Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) seeks a Senior Principal Engineer to lead the design and implementation of reliability validation for OCI control plane services, focusing on a high-performance, low-level systems approach.

You will mentor engineers, define validation standards across multiple organizations, and partner with database and cloud infrastructure teams to improve availability and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant engineering, architecture, or development/operational experience.
• Define and drive long-term validation strategy for distributed database infrastructure.
• Design, develop, and automate large-scale validation frameworks.
• Produce production-scale workload generation and validation infra.
• Collaborate with cross-organizational teams to improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation for internal key-value metadata store underpinning OCI control plane services.
• Define validation strategy for critical database infrastructure.
• Drive development of scalable validation frameworks for availability and resilience.
• Develop workload generation to evaluate database behavior under real workloads.
• Mentor senior engineers and promote engineering excellence.
