Job summary

MediaTek is seeking a software engineer with a strong background in embedded systems and the semiconductor industry. The role focuses on developing customized features and debugging with customer engineers to deliver high-quality system software.

You will bring up new platform boards, verify major functions, manage releases, and work closely with customers and project teams to resolve issues and deliver robust software solutions for media devices and AI-enabled products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 3 years of C/C++ programming experience.
• At least 3 years of SoC system software development experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with embedded operating systems (Linux, Android, Yocto, or RTOS).
• Strong knowledge of common peripheral buses (I2C/SPI/UART/GPIO, USB, PCIe, SDIO).
• Systematic problem-solving skills and effective technical communication.
• A proactive, positive attitude toward solving challenging and complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Bring up new platform boards and independently verify major functions.
• Manage regular software releases and resolve multi-branch conflicts.
• Analyze, triage, and debug issues hands-on.
• Partner with customer engineers to resolve system issues and requests.
• Collaborate with the project management team to deliver software solutions to customers.
