Job summary
Medtronic Neuromodulation is seeking a Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer to lead architecture and lifecycle management of embedded software for patient-facing neuromodulation products. You will guide design decisions, mentor distributed teams, and ensure regulatory compliance across IEC 62304 and IEC 60601-1.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 10+ years of embedded software experience.
- Master's degree in engineering can substitute for 8+ years of experience.
- PhD in engineering for 6+ years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead embedded software architecture, design, and technical decision-making across the software lifecycle.
- Define software, hardware, security, and RTOS design approaches to meet product requirements.
- Collaborate with systems, electrical, quality, security, human factors, and project leadership teams.
- Provide technical leadership to globally distributed software teams and external partners.
- Investigate root-cause analysis, embedded software debugging, and hardware/software integration tasks.
- Ensure compliance with IEC 62304 and IEC 60601-1 requirements.
- Advance Agile, DevOps, CI, and automated testing practices.
