Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Embedded Systems Security Engineer to support US military programs. The role focuses on cybersecurity requirement decomposition, architecture, and validation across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
ACTIVE and transferable SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearances
Experience in (system) requirement definition, allocation, and decomposition; preferably with embedded systems
Experience in generating Verification Items (VIs) and determining formal verification methods for allocated requirements
Experience with cybersecurity, RMF, and embedded cryptography
Experience with requirement management tools (e.g.; DOORS, JIRA, CONFLUENCE); MBSE tools (JAMA, CAMEO)

Responsibilities

Define cybersecurity requirement decomposition, allocation, implementation, and verification with system engineering practices
Define cybersecurity requirements, design, and architecture artifacts and ensure solution alternatives
Lead system design discussions and provide cybersecurity engineering input
Integrate cybersecurity considerations into system design with engineers and developers
Lead cybersecurity System Verification and Validation including test plans and analyses
Own cybersecurity documentation (e.g., RMF System Security Plan, Risk Assessment, POA&Ms)
Lead as part of a team of System Security Engineers and foster collaboration
Champion awareness of evolving security threats and best practices as SME
