Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector seeks a Principal or Senior Principal Electrical Engineer for its Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) organization, in Warner Robins, GA. The role may be located in Oklahoma City, OK or Warner Robins, GA and requires daily on-site work at one of these locations.

The position calls for leadership in obsolescence assessment, MIL-spec part qualification, and circuit analysis, with strong collaboration across a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Biomedical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Advanced degree preferred for Sr. Principal track.
• Experience with obsolescence management and DMSMS strategies is required or highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess obsolete or DMS-listed components.
• Develop mitigation strategies (substitution, redesign, last-time-buy, ECN).
• Maintain obsolescence database and generate risk reports.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify mil-spec parts.
• Ensure mil-spec parts meet MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-810.
• Review drawings, schematics, and TDPs to extract requirements.
• Perform schematic capture, simulation, and analysis using SPICE/Altium.
• Create and update BOM and component specs.
• Verify purchased parts match engineering intent.
• Maintain configuration records in PLM system.
• Role may be filled at Principal or Senior Principal level.
