Abbott in Princeton, NJ seeks a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to lead hardware development for the Instrument group in Point of Care Diagnostics. You will guide design, testing, and verification activities, ensuring compliance with FDA, GxP, and ISO standards while delivering robust electrical solutions.

You will mentor engineering teams, collaborate with product, quality, and manufacturing partners, and drive projects from planning through launch, maintaining high quality and on-time

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in electrical/electronic engineering.
• At least 2 years of engineering management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of GxP, ISO and medical device regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects and drive design and development of instrument hardware.
• Provide technical leadership in circuit design, layouts, testing, and planning.
• Ensure products meet safety, EMC, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and outside consultants as needed.
• Deliver high-quality engineering work on time within schedules.
