Job summary

Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC in the United States is seeking a Senior Engineer (Electrical) to lead electrical architecture and the design of infusion device systems. The role involves developing analog, digital, mixed-signal and power circuitry, and applying advanced engineering practices to solve complex problems.

You will troubleshoot, test, and validate products across the lifecycle, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with risk management and IEC 60601 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; advanced degree or certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in engineering, troubleshooting and problem solving; may publish or hold patents.
• Minimum 3 years in a regulated industry; medical preferred.
• Expert knowledge in analog, mixed-signal, and power circuit design.
• Experience with medical electrical safety standards and IEC 60601 certification activities.
• Strong documentation skills for design descriptions.
• Experience with interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.
• Experience with Stepper/BLDC motor controls, sensors, and data acquisition.
• Familiarity with SPICE-based circuit simulation and CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB design.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, agile team and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical architecture definition for Infusion devices.
• Design analog, digital, mixed-signal and power circuits; investigate new technologies.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests across product lifecycle.
• Propose innovative cross-disciplinary solutions; advise senior management.
• Establish engineering documentation best practices for the electrical team.
• Assess risks, create test plans, and evaluate results and residual risks.
• Ensure compliance with design verification/validation procedures and SOPs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to cover mechanical, electrical, and software aspects.
