Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (AU) is seeking a Senior Principal Digital Hardware Engineer to lead the design and testing of complex digital circuit card assemblies. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure robust high‑speed digital board designs.

The role requires translating performance specs into hardware requirements, conducting thorough simulations, and guiding junior designers through the design process in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience in STEM fields or advanced degrees with applicable experience.
• Experience translating system performance into hardware requirements and test specs.
• Experience with digital circuitry, schematic creation, fabrication support, and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design component placement, layout, routing, and schematic development for complex high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuit card assemblies.
• Model routing and run signal/power-integrity simulations to analyze design performance.
• Perform DVT to assess hardware performance and troubleshoot in lab.
• Mentor junior designers and share best practices across teams.
